The L.I.F.E. Experience is an organisation with a social purpose. They are committed to seeing positive change in the futures of young people, complying closely with the Department for Education (DfE) Government initiatives .The organisation work hard to inspire and increase the self-efficacy of young people. They have delivered workshops, one-on-one mentoring and guest speeches in schools, universities and in community spaces.
The Team
Bernard Aidoo- Director/Mentor
Bernard graduated from Kingston University with a 2:1 Bachelors Degree in Psychology and is currently studying a Post Graduate Degree in MSc Occupational Psychology, working towards being a Chartered Occupational Psychologist. His special interests are in Leadership and Career development for underrepresented groups. He is an active member of the British Psychological Society (BPS), Bernard has been involved in various voluntary projects working specifically for young people.
Adrian Greenland- Director/Mentor
Adrian attended City University where he completed a Bsc degree in Sociology. He has previously been involved in voluntary summer projects with young people. This led him to co-directing a very successful voluntary mentoring scheme, one of just under 2,000 organizations funded by ‘Vinspired’. Adrian has also worked with young offenders at Wandsworth and Lambeth ‘YOT’s,’ with the aim of reintegrating young offenders back into society. Adrian was recently selected as sponsored Virgin Media Pioneer and made the Powerlist, ‘Future Leaders’ magazine for the top 100 students in the U.K. Adrian also partakes in semi-professional football.
Alfonso Denton- Senior workshop Leader
Alfonso is a product of Kingston University, graduating with a BA in Politics with History in 2008. He is a very experienced member of the team, with his foundations lying in voluntary work with young people. Alfonso also works within Southwark council’s ‘Childcare support scheme,’ which provides additional assistance to parents aiming to get back into employment and/or training. He has also completed a recognized ‘Mentoring for mentors’ course within his current job role. A keen writer of Journals, Alfonso enjoys sharing his experiences with young people.
